Regional Green Infrastructure Showcase
The Regional Green Infrastructure Showcase is a new educational, outdoor space in process across from museum visitor entrance and extending down to the Eisenhart Auditorium.
Community members, visitors and passersby can enjoy several green education exhibits including:
- An education pavilion with a "green roof" and glass public art component designed by Nancy Gong (see image gallery)
- Bioretention areas to capture stormwater runoff
- Rain gardens
- Rain barrels
- A porous parking lot
- Interactive displays and more.
The new experience was created with the help of Capstone students from RIT's Environmental Science program. Read their project proposal here.
