Homeschool Classes in the Inquiry Room

These classes include staff-facilitated, hands-on experiences designed for homeschool students using inquiry-based learning and critical-thinking.

To make a reservation, call 585.697.1942. Pre-registration is required. You must register two weeks in advance.  All programs require a minimum enrollment. If the minimum is not met two weeks prior to the scheduled start date, the program will be cancelled. There is no member discount for homeschool programs. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check-in.

• Cost: $10 per student with an adult.
• Adult assistance encouraged.
• Classes are designed for children in grades 2-4 but with adult assistance can be made appropriate for children in grades 1-6.

Discovering Weather
Grades 2-4
Learn all about convection. Experiment with static electricity to make lightning. Become a water molecule and travel through the water cycle. Make a bracelet to take home!

Solids, Liquids and Gases
Grades 2-4
Explore the states of matter. Perform hands on experiments to compare and contrast solids, liquids and gases. Learn about polymers and make slime to take home!
