Museum Field Trips
All programs meet NY Learning Standards. Look for the coded standards associated with each exhibit or program.
Curriculum materials and curriculum links are provided for your use before, during, and after your visit. Ask for them when you schedule your visit or find them
HERE
.
We will work with you to accommodate your curricular needs.
Lots of Field Trip Experiences to Choose From:
Visits to Exhibitions (Self-Guided)
A self-guided experience does not include staff facilitation and thus is dependant on each teacher's planning and preparation. Use our Curriculum Materials to assist you in guiding your students.
Docent-Facilitated Exhibition Experiences:
RMSC Docents are guides who spark hands-on active exploration using artifacts and objects that are only available on docent-facilitated tours. They will work with you to highlight specific content to meet your curriculum goals.
The BUBL™ Project
A simulated underwater laboratory experience provided by Monroe BOCES #1.
School Overnight Camp-Ins:
Spend a night at the museum with experiments facilitated by our RMSC Educators.
Intermediate Science Discovery Day:
A day of hands-on experiments featuring local scientists geared for students in grades 6-8.
Hands-on in the Carlson Inquiry Room:
Centers-based programs facilitated by trained museum staff.
