Visit the RMSC and celebrate the many rich cultures that make our community unique! Join us for a celebration of ROC in music, dance, and art with performing groups from across Rochester.

Explore the history and cultures of Africa (Egypt & South Africa), Europe (Spain), and South America (Brazil & Argentina) and, using dance, how they influenced one another both culturally and artistically.

Enjoy the vocal talents of the Martin Luther King Community Youth Choir of Rochester as they perform gospel favorites from the time of Martin Luther King to present day.
World Music Workshop with McClure Artist Guilds
Monday, January 21, 2:30pm-3:30pm in the Patricia F. Hale Gallery
Explore expression of culture and history through various arts media, including songs, storytelling, instrument building and musical games, drumming sessions and dramatic arts.
Hands-on Activities:
- Build a Native American Dreamcatcher
- Design a postage stamp for a cultural hero to submit to the US Postal Service for possible publication
- Use your artistic skills or creative writing to imagine your dream for children in the future.
- Explore cultural objects from the RMSC Collections that have never before been displayed to the public and learn about the new ways we are digitizing 3D objects and making them available to the public.
