Adults Explore a Carnival of Curiosity at New RMSC After Dark Event at the Rochester Museum & Science Center
ROCHESTER, NY—The 21-and-older crowd attending the latest adult event at the Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) will party as they explore the rarities of the circus' sideshow attractions and believe-it-or-not hoaxes. RMSC After Dark: Carnival of Curiosity takes place from 7pm through 11pm on Friday, April 25.
At RMSC After Dark: Carnival of Curiosity, attendees experience science wonders on all three floors of the Museum while enjoying various bizarre and unusual activities—playing up the event's theme. During the evening, attendees will:
Experience breathtaking performances including sword swallowing and fire dancing
Lie upon the Bed of a Thousand Nails!
Test their balance as they walk across a tightrope
View strange collection items in the Tent of Wonders
Discover human oddities such as conjoined twins and the giant man
Show off their own unusual talents
Enjoy a cash bar and carnival snacks
Be entranced by dark cabaret/circus music
Watch RMSC's Tesla coils in Electricity Theater in action
Play popular carnival games
Witness exciting live science demonstrations
and find out why the bearded lady has that beard!
The RMSC hosts several RMSC After Dark adult events throughout the year. This is the third adult event, and attendance nearly doubled between the first and second events. The theme of each event changes and activities are designed based on the science and history associated with the theme.
Admission to RMSC After Dark: Carnival of Curiosity is $15 for the general public, $12 for RMSC members and can be purchased at the RMSC Welcome Center or by calling 585.697.1942 (reference code A600). Registration is encouraged. Check www.rmsc.org for updates. Must be 21 or older to attend.
