Two New Rochester Museum & Science Center Board of Trustees Members Bring Leadership to Institution
ROCHESTER, NY—The Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) welcomes two additional board members for a three-year term (class of 2013-2016). Malik Evans and Carol R. Tometsko are experienced leaders and business development experts that will help the RMSC drive its strategic focuses.
Malik Evans, Vice President, Manager, M&T Bank. At M&T Bank, Evans serves as a manager and assists existing and new businesses in securing financing for their operations. Evans is currently involved in many community activities and boards including The Rochester Board Of Education where he serves as president. He also serves on the board of the Catholic Family Center. Evans has also been involved with the Rochester Area Community Foundation for many years, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors as vice-chair. Evans resides in Rochester, NY.
Carol R. Tometsko, CEO and President, Litron Laboratories Ldt. In 1976 Tometsko and her husband founded Litron, a genetic toxicology research and development company that assures the safety of new drugs before they go to market. Tometsko has been honored as a lifetime member of the National Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) for her work with children. Tometsko served as a Youth Minister for 21 years in her parish, Our Lady of Lourdes. Tometsko has spent her adult life in a variety of volunteer positions and has participated on boards including Spirit House—a place for healing after major life challenges. Tometsko resides in Rochester, NY.
