Hits from the 90s and Radiohead Accompanied by Laser Lights at the RMSC Strasenburgh Planetarium in July
ROCHESTER, NY—The Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) Strasenburgh Planetarium features the popular tunes from the 90s as well as Radiohead hits accompanied by laser lights Saturday night in July. Visitors experience 90s Laser at 8pm, followed by Radiohead Laser at 9:30pm. Each show lasts approximately 50 minutes.
90s Laser features a wide range of tunes like "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter In a Small Town," Pearl Jam; "Machinehead," Bush; "Wonderwall," Oasis; "Never There," Cake; "Mysterious Ways," U2; "Smells Like Teen Spirit," Nirvana; "Zombie," The Cranberries, among others.
Then, the six-channel digital sound system switches to Radiohead Laser, which features a host of alternative rock classics, including "Creep," "Lotus Flower," "Paranoid Android," "High and Dry," "Packt Like Sardines In A Crushd Tin Box," among others.
Luminous argon and krypton laser light effects splash across the Planetarium indoor-sky, heightening the experience with sight and sound. Audiences lose themselves in an exciting virtual environment, following colorful light movements that pulse in patterns that brilliantly match the music. "Saturday Night Laser" show themes change monthly.
Admission for ONE show is $7 for adults and $6 for seniors, college students, students ages 5–18, and RMSC members. Admission for BOTH shows, back-to-back is $11 for adults and $9 for seniors, college students, students ages 5–18, and RMSC members. Children under age five are not admitted to "Saturday Night Laser" shows.
