New Giant-Screen Film Coral Reef Adventure at Rochester
Museum & Science Center Strasenburgh Planetarium
ROCHESTER, NY—Visitors to the Rochester Museum & Science Center
(RMSC) Strasenburgh Planetarium, follow the real-life expedition of ocean
explorers during its new giant-screen film, Coral Reef Adventure,
opening at 4pm on Friday, October 5.
Filmmakers Howard and Michael Hall
guide audiences to the islands and sun-drenched waters
of the South Pacific, including Australia's Great Barrier Reef, Fiji, Tahiti
and the mysterious depths of Rangiroa Atoll, to document health and beauty of
coral reefs. On the giant screen, audiences will feel like they're diving and
exploring right alongside the experts.
"Ocean cinematography works particularly well on the dome," said Steve
Fentress, director, Strasenburgh Planetarium, RMSC. "The new movie, Coral
Reef Adventure, comes from MacGillivray Freeman Films, the same studio that
gave us The Living Sea and Dolphins, two of the best and most popular
films we've ever shown."
Coral Reef Adventure is 45
minutes long and appears Fridays at 4pm, Saturdays at 2:30 and 4:30pm, Sundays
at 1pm, 2pm, and 4pm, and there are additional weekday shows. Visit www.rmsc.org for complete schedule. Recommended for ages 5 through adult,
Coral Reef Adventure is narrated by Liam Neeson.
Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for
seniors and college students with ID, $6 for children and teens (ages 3–18) and

made at least 24 hours prior to the show), at the Museum Welcome Center (museum
