Visitors Experience The Beatles in Laser Light at the Strasenburgh Planetarium Saturdays
this July
ROCHESTER,
NY—"Do You Want to Know a Secret?" The
Beatles in Laser Light appears each Saturday night at the Rochester Museum
& Science Center (RMSC) Strasenburgh Planetarium. Shows start promptly at 9:30pm
and last approximately 50 minutes inside the four-story dome.
The show features a variety of classic
songs by The Beatles, including "I Want to Hold Your Hand," "Magical Mystery
Tour," "Hard Day's Night," "Day Tripper," "Strawberry Fields Forever," "Eleanor
Rigby," "Let it Be," "Back in the USSR," and "With a Little Help fro My
Friends," among other hits. Audiences become mesmerized in an exciting virtual
environment full of colorful laser lights that move in a variety of patterns
that brilliantly match the music.
With immersive video effects and images
from "The Fab Four's" historic first U.S. tour, this Saturday Night Laser show
turns music into a multi-sensory experience as visitors stare "Across The
Universe" at shimmering argon and krypton laser light effects that dance upon
the Planetarium's starry night sky. Shows run all year and themes change
monthly.
Admission is $7 for
adults and $6 for seniors, college students, students ages 5–18 and RMSC
members. Children under age five are not admitted to
"Saturday Night Laser" shows.
