Features Music From the 90s and The Beatles at the RMSC Strasenburgh
Planetarium in April
ROCHESTER,
NY—Audiences lose themselves in the music from two different decades
accompanied by brilliant laser lights at the Rochester Museum & Science
Center (RMSC) Strasenburgh Planetarium. Experience 90s Laser and The Beatles in
Laser Light, back-to-back, Saturday nights throughout April. Each show lasts
approximately 50 minutes.
90s
Laser features a wide
range of tunes like "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter In a Small Town," Pearl
Jam; "Machinehead," Bush; "Wonderwall," Oasis; "Never There," Cake; "Mysterious
Ways," U2; "Smells Like Teen Spirit," Nirvana; "Zombie," The Cranberries, among
others.
The six-channel digital sound system
switches to The Beatles in Laser Light,
and features hits such as "A Hard Day's Night," "Day Tripper," "Eleanor Rigby"
and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," along with special immersive video
effects. Visitors also watch interviews with "The Fab Four."
An exciting virtual environment, visitors
follow colorful light movements that perfectly match the music. "Saturday Night Laser" show themes change monthly.
Admission for one show is $7 for adults and $6 for seniors, college
students, students ages 5–18 and RMSC members. Admission for both shows,
back-to-back is $11 for
adults and $9 for seniors, college students, students ages 5–18, and RMSC
members.
Children
under age five are not admitted to "Saturday Night Laser" shows.
Tickets
for laser shows may be purchased in advance at the Museum Welcome Center (museum
lobby) during regular business hours, at the Strasenburgh Planetarium Box
Office or online at www.rmsc.org. Online
ticket purchases must be made at least 24 hours prior to the show. Box Office
hours vary according to the show schedule. Check online or by calling (585)271-1880.
