Explore the Power of Nanoscience During
NanoDays 2012 at the
Rochester Museum &
Science Center
ROCHESTER,
NY—Visitors to the Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) experience
"NanoDays: The Biggest Event for the Smallest Science." Through hands-on
activities, community members explore how the tiniest
technology is shaping up to have a huge impact on our future. The event takes
place from 12–4pm on Saturday, March 31–Sunday, April 1.
Community members join RMSC staff along
with representatives from the Center for Material Science and Engineering, Materials
Research Society, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Chapters; University
of Rochester; and SimPore, Inc.—a local company that specializes in
nanotechnology. With the help of these industry leaders, visitors learn about
small-scale science and technology in a way that's fun, simple and easy to
understand.
RMSC's
NanoDays event is part of its "Adventure Weekends" program. Programs appear
throughout the year. Featuring hands-on science activities ranging from simple
to new, cutting-edge science, "Adventure Weekends" appeal to all family
