to come face-to-face with some of the most powerful forces of nature. Grab your
galoshes, ponchos, gloves, parkas, umbrellas, and head over to RMSC to:

-Team up with YNN meteorologist Brooke Zegarelli for hands-on
weather activities!
-Become a home meteorologist using some easy tools of the trade.
-Create a weather broadcast in the Discover our Weather exhibit in
Adventure Zone.
-Build a structure to withstand earthquakes!
-See the "Ring of Fire" RMSC Strasenburgh Planetarium giant-screen
film.
-Brave the Volcano Mine Ride simulator ($1 per rider).
CELEBRATING EARTH DAY
Saturday, April 21-Sunday, April 22: 12–4pm
Visit the RMSC and explore some of the ways we can
all do our part to protect our environment. Try your hand at interactive
activities presented by the American Chemical Society, investigate humankind's
effect on our waterways with the Enviroscape and Flood Plain models, and enjoy
other exciting activities.

American Museum of Natural History as well as spectacular specimens from the

stories of courageous African Americans who traveled through Rochester on their
way from slavery to freedom. Find out about local people who helped them.
At the Western Door
The
hundreds of objects displayed show the Seneca's and Haudenosaunee's creative
response to new technologies and materials introduced following European contact.
Clan and family continue to bind communities together and define who the Seneca
and Haudenosaunee are.
The Rochester Business Hall of Fame – Presented by the
RMSC in partnership with Junior Achievement of Rochester and the Rochester

Embark on a virtual voyage to Mars—a high-tech,
hands-on simulation. Located in the Strasenburgh Planetarium and coordinated by
"Mission Commanders" from Monroe #1 BOCES, this unique experience is
educational and fun. Children must be at least 7 years old. Children aged 7 to
10 must be teamed one-to-one with an adult.

SENIOR SOJOURN (Easy Pace)
Discover the signs of
spring while Shariee Edersheim. "Mrs. E." takes you on an informative and easy
hour-long walk. Bring a lunch if you'd like, and stay for a nature film in the
Riedman Theater. Edersheim was the lead interpreter at CNC in the 1980s and
early 1990s.
Admission: $3 per person or $10 per family is
requested for general public; Free for RMSC members
Saturday, April 21: 11am-2pm
SERENDIPITY WALK (Moderate Pace)
Visitors enjoy a guided walk with Shariee Edersheim, and have
an adventure exploring areas of the property not usually accessible to the
public. Walk attendees experience different types of terrain, including wet
areas, so visitors are encouraged to wear proper footwear. Bringing a lunch to
enjoy with great company is an option.
Admission: $3 per person or $10 per family is
requested for general public; Free for RMSC members
